Accelerating the digitalization in the companies, will be a very important aspect for their survival in view of the approaching economic crisis in the second half of 2022. One of the areas, where companies can make a very beneficial digitalization is the monitoring of production processes and the processing of information for further improvement, optimization and saving of resources during production.
During production, if an existing control and regulation system is already in place, which in most cases is already happening, there is an immediate optimization of the process, production and/or product. However, information about this process is subsequently lost or kept for a very short time. We therefore lose very valuable data informing about the long-term behavior of the production process. When this information is stored in a database and its subsequently analyzed, it is possible to find out information that is not obvious at first glance. However, it is possible to find that there is information that we do not track but which is useful or even essential for maximizing returns and minimizing losses.
If the production process is supplemented with other monitoring measurements that can have a direct impact on the quality, speed, energy consumption or economy of the process, and these quantities are stored in the measurement database, the number of variables for data analysis increases and the resulting data acquires a greater value. The result is savings both on inputs (energy, material, time) and outputs (more products), and an increase in the quality of the final product.
The digitalization process uses the terms of Industry 4.0, Maintenance 4.0 or Agriculture 4.0, which summarize this approach within various fields and activities.

INTRODUCTION TO THE DIGITALIZATION PROCESS
